Dr. Pimple Popper Is Here to Ruin Cheese for Us All

For whatever reason, we know you guys go crazy for these gnarly pimple popping videos and while we don't want to overdo it, we can't help but share when something this outrageous falls into our lap. After some casual browsing of Dr. Pimple Popper's YouTube channel, we happened upon a little cyst removal video. Fair warning, it's pretty freakin' gross — we mean, c'mon, what cyst extraction video isn't gross? That being said, this cyst happens to be on the face, making it all the more cringe-worthy. Back cysts, chest cysts, those are all tolerable. The face? WOOF. Not easy to watch. You've been warned, y'all.

We'll let you guys process what you just saw for a minute — OK, you good? Let's learn something now, shall we? Because we're not actually doctors, we don't have the medical background to explain the hellscape you just witnessed, but we do know the perfect person to do it! Dr. Sandra Lee explains:

"An epidermoid cyst (Epidermal Inclusion cyst, Infundibular cyst), is a benign growth commonly found in the skin and typically appears on the face, neck or trunk, but can occur anywhere on the body. Another name used is “sebacous cyst” but this is actually an antiquated misnomer, and is not a term used by dermatologists. They are also the most common type of cutaneous cysts. Epidermoid cysts result from the reproduction of epidermal cells within a confined space of the dermis. The pasty contents are mostly composed of macerated keratin (wet skin cells), which creates this “cheesy” consistency, and there can be a pungent odor."

You read that correctly, guys. A cheesy consistency with a pungent odor. Sounds delightful, doesn't it? We honestly never thought we'd see the day that blue cheese dressing or nachos weren't appealing, but yup, today is that day. Please excuse us while we mourn.
