Chrissy Teigen Claps Back After Twitter Slams Her Cooking: ‘Just Shut Up Already’

Simmer down, guys! Chrissy Teigen is so over her cooking being critiqued on social media. In true Chrissy fashion, she is clapping back — HARD.

On Sunday, July 28, the model, 33, shared a video to Twitter of her family cooking a fresh batch of beignets in hot oil and dipping the treats in their signature powdered sugar coating. Yum! Although many people agreed the dessert looked pretty tasty, others took issue with Chrissy’s culinary technique.

“Aren’t you supposed to let the oil drain and then sprinkle them lightly with powdered sugar?” asked one user. “These look like the sugar got wet and melted. Still look good but the sugar looks pasty.” Many other users chimed in questioning Chrissy’s beignet skills, but don’t they know they are messing with the wrong supermodel?

“To everyone saying this: Just shut up already. They were awesome, and this is how *we* like them, sugar sticks to the hot oil and I eat them piping hot when they’re crispy and perfectly moist inside,“ snapped the culinary queen. “Make your own thank you goodbye.”

Despite the Twitter controversy, it looks like the crispy treats were well-liked in her household. Chrissy asked one of her daughter’s friends if she enjoyed the sugary treats, but her mouth and hands were too full to reply! We think that means compliments to the chef. Husband John Legend joined in adding that the Louisiana delicacy was “approved.” Side note: look at how lovingly he looks at her! *heart eyes*

Despite the votes of approval from her inner circle, the critiques kept coming from Twitter. “I can’t make ANYTHING without you guys being exhausting,” said Chrissy. “Like do you hear yourselves ever?”

The clapback queen didn’t let a few salty tweets hold her back from posting her delicious creations. The star shared a video of her kids chowing down on some sweet chili chicken wings. We don’t care how you cook it, Chrissy. We just want a bite!
