After Chappell Roan publicly cut ties with Casey Wasserman’s agency when the 51-year-old executive’s alleged emails with Jeffrey Epstein’s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell — who was found guilty in 2021 of child sex trafficking — came to light, the “Pink Pony Club” singer, 28, promoted her partnership with MAC Cosmetics.
Her moral grandstanding and the receipts don’t line up, a source exclusively tells In Touch, pointing out that MAC is owned by Estée Lauder Companies, whose sole heir, Ronald Lauder, was also mentioned in the Department of Justice’s Epstein files release.
In Touch can confirm that Lauder’s name appears more than 450 times by a simple search in the Epstein files library, which show that the late pedophile helped set up a joint LLC for Lauder tied to a $25 million art acquisition. The two also communicated numerous times, with staff coordinating their meetings, lunches and visits.

The source slams Roan’s actions as performative nonsense, considering that Wasserman has claimed he only communicated with Maxwell “long before her horrific crimes came to light” (via the Associated Press).
In Roan’s February 9 announcement on her Instagram Story, the artist said, “No artist, agent or employee should ever be expected to defend or overlook actions that conflict so deeply with our own moral values.”
However, the Grammy Award winner — who was already announced as MAC’s newest Global Brand Ambassador in December — then promoted her partnership with the makeup giant on February 23.
The source claims that the lies were there the whole time, as Roan has also come under fire in recent days for how she sets boundaries with fans.

According to the extensive Epstein files document dump by the DOJ, it appears that Lauder communicated with Epstein after he pleaded guilty and was convicted in 2008 of procuring a child for prostitution and of soliciting a prostitute.
Per In Touch’s source, the same person claiming a moral line over Wasserman’s interaction with Maxwell before her crimes came to light is now financially aligned with a brand whose ownership is directly tied to Epstein in multiple ways, including after he registered as a sex offender.
Roan’s behavior, argues the source, is simply a performative hoax.
