In an exclusive interview with The Associated Press, Anthony claims the last time she saw Caylee she "believed that she was alive and that she was going to be OK Casey Anthony, West Palm Beach, USA - 13 Feb 2017

She’s telling all! Casey Anthony is planning to open up about her life, her case and daughter Caylee in a new “no-holds-barred memoir,” an insider exclusively tells In Touch. Nearly nine years after she was found not guilty of the murder of her 2-year-old child, the Florida native is ready to share her truth with the world.

“Casey is writing … a detailed and definitive account of her life and the tragedy of losing Caylee and everything that followed,” the source said. So far, she’s already completed three chapters. “She knows the book will be controversial and that no matter what she does she will face criticism, but she also feels she has a story that has never been told. Nobody else has lived it, so no one else can tell it.”

It’s not clear whether or not the would-be author will have her parents’ support in her current venture. Though George and Cindy Anthony had stopped speaking with their daughter, reports indicated the father changed his tune after a November 2018 car accident left him with “incapacitating” injuries. A source told People Casey “didn’t talk to him for years before the accident” and had “no intention to talk to” her dad, but it seems she, too, eventually reconsidered. While talking to Dr. Oz, the grandfather opened up about reconnecting.

“She did reach out to see how I am,” George said on the show in January 2019, revealing he was happy to hear from her. “I would [like to see her]. I mean honestly, I would. I would just like to tell her I’m sorry. You know, that I forgive her. I forgive her and that’s hard for me to say.” He’s hoping that forgiveness isn’t a one-way street. “You know what, I need to be forgiven by her, my son, and other family members or friends that I care so much about,” he continued. “Forgive me for what I’ve done. To all of our lives.”
