Camila Cabello Gushes Over Shawn Mendes Amid Dating Rumors: ‘You Couldn’t Be More Amazing’

Fueling those dating rumors! Pop stars Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes just gave fans another reason to think that they’re currently an item. On Friday, June 5, Camila took to her Instagram Story to gush over the 20-year-old crooner while watching him perform at the Staples Center in Los Angeles — proving that she is one of his biggest fans.

“@ShawnMendes you couldn’t be more amazing. Wow ❤️️,” the 22-year-old captioned an Instagram video clip of Shawn while he performed onstage. In a second clip, she wrote, “You’re unreal. @ShawnMendes.”

The “Havana” singer has been friends with the “If I Can’t Have You” singer for years, and they first collaborated together musically on their 2015 hit, “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” But the dating rumors started swirling heavily ever since they released the sexy music video for their steamy summer hit, “Señorita,” last month. In the video, Shawn and Camila got extremely cozy with each other in front of the camera.

It didn’t help that just six days after the music video dropped, Camila split from her boyfriend, Matthew Hussey, after one year of dating. Almost as soon as news about Camila and Matthew’s breakup was revealed, fans started shipping the former Fifth Harmony member with Shawn.

Over the 4th of July weekend, Camila and Shawn were spotted leaving the 6th annual Red White and Bootsy July 4th party at Nobu together holding hands, and insiders revealed to Us Weekly that the rumored couple was definitely getting close inside the party. “They were sitting with each other, facing each other and look very intimate,” an eyewitness adds. “They left together holding hands.”

While neither Camila nor Shawn have publicly commented on their dating rumors, fans still think they would make a great couple. “Mrs. Mendes,” one fan wrote in the comments section of one of Camila’s recent Instagram photos. “We all ship you so much with Shawn!
