Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie Finally Reach Custody Agreement After 2-Year Battle

At last! A child custody agreement has finally been reached between famous exes Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. The two were scheduled to duke it out in court on Dec. 4, since she wanted sole physical custody, and he wanted 50/50 joint custody of their six kids. However, after this latest development, there will be no trial next week.

“A custody arrangement was agreed two weeks ago, and has been signed by both parties and the judge,” the actress’ attorney Samantha Bley DeJean shared on Nov. 30. “The agreement, which is based on the recommendations of the child custody evaluator, eliminates the need for a trial. The filing and details of the agreement are confidential to protect the best interests of the children.”

Brad, 54, and Angelina, 43, have been at odds over the custody of Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and their 10-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne since she filed for divorce back in 2016. Only a few days ago, it was reported that Brad and Angelina were still locked in discussions.

The Maleficent actress had filed a stipulation which would grant them more time with their private judge, the very man who officiated Brad and Angelina’s wedding ceremony in the past, Honorable John Ouderkirk. According to The Blast, the parties requested his time be extended until December 31st, 2019, instead of June 2019. Angelina reportedly wanted him to oversee all the pre-trial motions and requests, and tackle the private custody trial if needed.

Brad reportedly wanted to keep his kids out of court, since he didn’t want them to have to face the rigors of a trial and it appears Angelina now feels the same. “The former couple finally realized the ongoing fight is only hurting the children, and it’s expected to be finalized very soon,” The Blast previously reported. It sounds like it worked out for the best!
