Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Flee NYC Ahead of Taylor Swift’s Wedding

While many celebrities are flying into New York City for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding day, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are getting out.

According to photos posted by TMZ, the Gossip Girl star and Deadpool actor were spotted in Lake Placid, New York on July 2. The two appeared to be cheering on their daughter Betty as she competed in a horse show at a local farm.

Their upstate outing comes just days before the “Blank Space” singer’s wedding festivities in Madison Square Garden.

The two have been friends for the past 10 years since the actress mentioned Taylor and her “Bad Blood” music video during a L’Oreal campaign.

While they previously used to be seen frequently with one another, they haven’t been pictured together since October 2024, when they enjoyed a double date with their partners.

Two months after their outing, Taylor was caught in the crossfire of Blake’s $400 million lawsuit with her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni, which saw the actress accuse the director of several claims including sexual harassment.

Justin’s legal team first mentioned the “Blank Space” singer within the lawsuit in January 2025, when he claimed an unnamed A-lister, believed to be Taylor due to her mention in related text messages, pressured him to “comply with Blake’s direction for the script” during a meeting at Blake’s residence.

Text messages also showed the actress likening herself to Game of Thrones character Khaleesi, referencing Taylor and her husband Ryan as her “dragons.”

In January 2026, Taylor and Blake’s private text messages were unsealed due to the legal dispute. A source later told People the singer wants to “stay away from the drama” and the two “aren’t speaking.”

The source said that the singer “was just being a friend to Blake, and it’s turned into something bigger than she ever expected.”
