Ben Affleck Has Become ‘3rd Wheel’ in Ex-Wife Jennifer Garner and BF John Miller’s Relationship

It’s no secret that exes Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are good friends, but their bond is so strong that the Oscar-winning actor is starting to be a third wheel in Jennifer’s relationship with boyfriend John Miller.

“Jen is very happy with John, but it’s no secret that Ben has become the third wheel in their relationship. John is very secure in what he has with Jen, he doesn’t usually sweat it, but you can’t blame him for being a little concerned by her close relationship with her ex, An insider exclusively tells In Touch. “Especially when friends constantly come up to him and ask him what’s going on with Jen and Ben.”

The 13 Going on 30 star, 52, sparked reconciliation rumors with the Deep Water actor, 52, during their son Samuel’s 13th birthday at a paintball range on March 2. Daily Mail UK shared photos of the pair as Ben held Jennifer by the waist while she blasted her paintball gun. Needless to say, the images quickly went viral and sparked online speculation about their relationship.

“John stays away from social media and doesn’t read any gossip about Jen, but his family and friends do, so being bombarded with questions gets a little annoying,” the insider explains. “He did ask Jen about the photo that everyone was talking about, but it wasn’t this ugly confrontation. That’s not John’s style.”

Three days after the photos of Jen and Ben made their rounds on social media, a second source exclusively told In Touch the truth behind the coparent’s relationship. In addition to Samuel, the former Daredevil costars share daughter Violet Affleck, 19, and Seraphina “Fin” Affleck, 16.

“It’s no secret that Ben’s relationship with his ex is better than ever. Ben and Jen haven’t had this many laughs or been this comfortable with each other in years. It’s like they’re newlyweds again, except it’s nothing like that. They’ve developed a true friendship,” a second source dished to In Touch on March 5. “They not only like each other again, but Jen respects and trusts him with her life. They’ve come a long way and been through a lot.”

Meanwhile, a third insider revealed where John, 47, stood following his lady’s cozy pictures with Ben.

“He knows Jen is loyal to him and can also be there for the father of her children. That’s just who Jen is,” insider No. 3 explained, noting, “It’s not for everyone, but John is very confident in what he has with Jen. He’s not concerned.”

However, there was one person who was in their “feelings” about the photos: Ben’s second ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez.

“When J. Lo and Ben reunited [in 2021] and eventually married [in 2022], she was secure in what they had. Even though J. Lo thought his closeness with Jen was odd, she was confident. She just thought that Ben and his ex were closely bonded because of the three kids they shared, the fact that Jen really helped him get clean and sober, and of course, Jen was with John,” a fourth source exclusively told In Touch. “But now, like the rest of the world, she’s questioning whether there’s more to their relationship than they’re letting on.”

Nonetheless, all is seemingly swell with Jennifer and John as he was spotted walking toward her home in Brentwood upon entry on March 9.
