Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus ‘Appreciate’ Spending Time Together Since Reuniting

Aw, the look of love! Ever since Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus decided to give their relationship another shot, it seems like the couple are happier than ever, a source exclusively told In Touch. “They’re a lot calmer this time around and more appreciative of the time they spend together,” the insider explained. “They’re both making a huge effort.”

The lovebirds aren’t sitting around either — apparently, they already mapped out their plans for the next year or so. “They’re looking forward to getting away for some R&R — Hawaii, Mexico, even Fiji,” the source said. “But they’re also doing staycation type things, like signing up for his-and-her spa sessions and couple’s massages. They like their outdoor activities like swimming and hiking, so more of that is on the agenda.”

It seems like the blonde beauty, 38, is just what the Hollywood star, 46, needs. After Ben and Lindsay split for the first time in August 2018, the handsome hunk went to rehab and got the help that he needed. “It doesn’t really bother me to talk about alcoholism and being an alcoholic,” he told Hoda Kotb on the Today show on March 4. “It’s part of my life, it’s something that I deal with. It doesn’t have to subsume my whole identity and be everything but it’s something you have to work at. I feel like I had a problem and really wanted to address is.”

Since then, the SNL producer has been supporting her man. “She’s given up drinking to adapt to his sober lifestyle and moved some of her stuff into his house,” the insider noted. “This is love.”

The Triple Frontier actor is trying to balance being a father to his three kids — Violet, 13, Seraphina, 10, and Samuel, 7 — and his relationship. According to the source, Lindsay is even “getting to know his kids as well.”

Even through the ups and the downs, the duo clearly wants to make it work.
