Colton Underwood ‘Couldn’t Handle’ Cassie Randolph Breaking Up With Him Before Restraining Order

Bachelor alum Cassie Randolph realized ex Colton Underwood “was not the guy for her” prior to their split in May and he “just couldn’t handle her breaking up with him,” an insider exclusively tells In Touch amid her stalking claims. 

“He blamed the show, the producers, host Chris Harrison, everyone but himself [for their relationship ending],” the source says. “Colton admits he had some issues, but that shouldn’t have affected the way he treated Cassie.” 

On September 14, In Touch confirmed Randolph, 25, was granted a restraining order against Underwood after filing paperwork on September 11. The former football player must now stay at least 100 yards away from his ex, her home, her car and workplace at all times. The order is in place until their next court hearing, which is scheduled for October 6. 

In court docs obtained by In Touch, Randolph alleged her former flame harassed her with unsettling texts, showed up at her apartment and parents’ home without an invitation and placed a tracking device on her car. She also claimed he accused her of seeing her ex-boyfriend.

The speech pathology assistant took legal action for “Domestic Violence Prevention,” according to the papers. 

In regard to the claims against him, a rep for Underwood tells In Touch, “As this is a legal matter, we cannot provide any comment at this time.”

Prior to her shocking allegations against him, Underwood and Randolph seemed to be cordial in the wake of their breakup. “With all that we have gone through, we have a special bond that will always be there,” she wrote while announcing their decision to part ways in May. “I love Colton very much and have an enormous amount of respect for him. We have both learned and grown so much these past couple years, and will always have each other’s back. Always.”

Underwood also had “nothing but good things” to say about the California native during his August appearance on the “Reality Steve” podcast. 

The season 23 personalities first met while filming the dating series in November 2018 and didn’t end up getting engaged during the finale. However, they did continue dating after the show wrapped all the way up until their split.

Randolph and Underwood were even collaborating on a new reality show about their lives post-breakup, Us Weekly confirmed on Monday, September 14. They were in production “all summer,” but have since “pulled out” of the show.

“The fear now is the follow-up shows that planned to showcase their rocky romance and explain the ugly breakup could be exploitative,” the insider tells In Touch about what could be ahead. “This is only going to get messier.”
