Ayesha Howard is making headlines as she faces off against her NBA player ex, Anthony Edwards, in a messy court battle over their daughter, Aubri Summer Howard, who was born in 2024. The high-profile lawsuit, which is being contested between Georgia and California, saw Ayesha claiming her home was on the West Coast. However, Anthony’s team argued this move was an effort to secure higher child support, according to legal documents obtained by In Touch.
Amid the legal drama, fans are eager to know more about Ayesha’s job and employment history.
What Is Anthony Edwards’ Ex Ayesha Howard’s Job?
Ayesha is a musical artist and brand ambassador, according to her Instagram bio.
According to December 2024 court documents, Anthony claimed Ayesha worked as a dancer at Magic City Strip Club in Atlanta until January 2024. She was allegedly a Georgia resident before moving to Los Angeles.
In a court declaration, Ayesha claimed, “I have not worked in Georgia or been involved with any businesses — including clubs — in over a decade.”
How Many Kids Does Ayesha Howard Have?
Ayesha is a mother of two children. She gave birth to baby No. 1, a son named Jason, on September 9, 2015, whom she shares with rapper Lil Baby.
The Georgia native gave birth to Aubri six years later on October 14, 2024.
In Ayesha’s February 2025 filing against Anthony, she claimed that her son was “under the care” of her family in Georgia while she and Aubri resided in L.A.
Anthony Edwards Filed a Paternity and Child Support Lawsuit
One month before Audri’s birth, the professional basketball player filed a paternity and child support lawsuit against his ex in Georgia in September 2024.
“[Anthony] is entitled to an order requiring the parties to undergo genetic testing. If genetic testing shows that [Anthony] is the father, [Anthony] requests an order establishing the minor child’s paternity,” the petition read.
The Minnesota Timberwolves pro filed a motion in the case one day after his daughter’s birth on October 15, 2024, requesting a judge to order Ayesha to a paternity test via a neutral and licensed laboratory.

Days later, Ayesha sued Anthony for paternity in California on October 22, 2024, according to court documents obtained by In Touch. In the filing, Ayesha requested legal and physical custody over Aubri, as well as child support, pregnancy and birth expenses – as well as her attorney fees.
Anthony responded to Ayesha’s lawsuit on December 31, 2024, requesting that the case be dismissed as California lacked “personal jurisdiction” and shared that the DNA results proved he was the father of Aubri.
“Aubri was born in California on October 14, 2024. There is no evidence that Aubri has been present in California since her birth on more than a temporary basis. This is likely because Ayesha has no intention of making California her and Aubri’s home,” Anthony’s lawyer argued in the filing, later adding that Ayesha “allegedly rents a room in a backhouse located in Inglewood, California.”
However, Ayesha previously claimed to have moved to California in August 2023 and accused Anthony of believing “child support determination under Georgia law would be more favorable to him than one governed by California law.”
On February 11, 2025, In Touch exclusively reported that Ayesha filed a declaration of alleged texts between her and Anthony, where he asked her to “get da [sic] abortion” while she was pregnant with Aubri.
“I’m pregnant … wanted to tell you in person but you gave me no other choice. We probably should have kept it cordial but we’re here now,” Ayesha wrote in the alleged text, claiming that Anthony blocked her on all social media platforms and text.
The Georgia and California cases are still ongoing as of February 18, 2025.
