Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger shocked fans in September when they announced their separation after two years of marriage — but the former couple is continuing to fuel romance rumors after sharing a cryptic photo together on Instagram.
This is not the first time Avril, 31, and the Nickelback front man, 41, have been spotted together since their split.

The "Complicated" songstress first revealed the breakup on Instagram, writing, “It is with a heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation. Through not only marriage, but the music as well, we’ve created many unforgettable moments. We are still, and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other. To all our family, friends and fans, thank you sincerely for the support.”

Last month the once-married duo walked the red carpet and posed for photos at Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammys party, while back in December they were spotted leaving Sunset Marquis in West Hollywood.
