Angelina Jolie’s brother James Haven’s annulment is moving forward in court, months after a failed reconciliation with his estranged wife, Romi Imbelli, In Touch can exclusively report.

According to court records obtained by In Touch, Romi, 42, who previously went by Romi Klinger and starred on The Real L Word, filed a judgment on May 12 in Los Angeles Superior Court.

The court has yet to sign off on the divorce.

As In Touch previously reported, Romi filed a petition for annulment on August 27, 2024, only days after she wed James, 52, on August 12, 2024.

James’ father, Jon Voight, attended the ceremony, according to a report, but his famous sister was not present.

In her filing, she listed the date of separation as August 26, 2024, and cited alleged fraud as one of the reasons for the decision to end the marriage.

James and Romi do not share any children together, per the filing. Romi did not request any support from Angelina’s brother.

Romi also asked that her last name be restored to Imbelli.

On September 20, 2024, James filed a response to his estranged wife’s case. He was on board with the marriage being annulled.

James agreed with Romi on the date of separation being August 27, 2024.

He also asked the court to annul the marriage due to “fraud.” In his response, James told the court there was no community assets or debts.

James and Romi exchanged financial information in October 2024, but then the case had been stalled for months.

The marriage was a secret until Romi announced it on social media in December 2024.

In January, Romi told In Touch she had reconciled with James and had plans to call off the annulment.

At the time, Romi told In Touch they were “happily back together and very much married.”

“In 2024, I married my best friend of 23 years. The details of our story are too personal and complicated to share now, but I am writing it all in my book,” she shared on Instagram. “Our wedding day was intimate, just us and our parents while exchanging vows, with plans to have a larger celebration later.”

She added, “Unfortunately, we had a big fight the next day. After 5 months of much crying, healing, and reflection, we decided to work through our issues and are now planning a special day with my daughter. I feel liberated and ready to return to my husband and our home in L.A.” However, in March, Romi revealed the reconciliation had failed in a statement to People.

She said, “After careful consideration, I have decided to move forward with the annulment of my marriage to James Haven. As reflected in public record, the reason cited remains fraud.”

Recently, Romi announced she was in a new relationship on Instagram.

On April 28, she captioned photos with her new man, “It’s been an incredibly tumultuous season for me; it’s astonishing how we can never truly predict what lies ahead, and how suddenly everything can change, making it feel as if a bus has struck you. I’m deeply thankful for this person, this experience, and all that awaits me in the next chapter of my life. There’s grace, forgiveness, and the chance for new beginnings, despite the heartache that life can bring.”
