‘Teen Mom OG’ Star Amber Portwood Reveals Her Ex Matt Baier Still Hits Her Up

It looks like there’s no room in Amber Portwood‘s life for her ex-fiancé Matt Baier. The Teen Mom OG star quickly moved on after her split from Matt with her current boyfriend Andrew Glennon, and the couple welcomed their first child together back in May. Now, Amber revealed that Matt still reaches out to her from time to time, and he even congratulated her on the birth of her son James.

“Yeah, I mean, he does text and he did send a congrats, but you know, he’s not my friend,” the 28-year-old told Us Weekly. “I don’t have a relationship with him. I don’t really acknowledge that past and my future is so much brighter and better.”

Amber is content with her current situation, even though fans were shocked to find out that she had moved on from Matt so quickly. The couple allegedly split while they were filming WeTV’s Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition, and that’s coincidentally where Amber met her new man. Andrew worked as a camerman on the set, and he had been so smitten with her that he reached out to her after filming ended. Just weeks after Amber confirmed her breakup with Matt, the couple made their debut at the MTV Video Music Awards in August in 2017, and the rest is history.

But that timeline had fans thinking that it could be a possibility that Matt was the father of Amber’s son, not Andrew. Since little James was born in May, Amber would have conceived him in August, which is when she split up from Matt and it gave fans enough reason to speculate. “My conspiracy theory is that the baby is Matt’s. The timing is… odd to say the least. Also makes me wonder if that’s why she had such a hard time dumping him,” one fan wrote on social media.

Now that it’s one month since baby James was born, it seems like the controversy and rumors over his paternity have died down. Now, the only thing Amber is focused on is her relationship with Andrew, and raising their son James with Amber’s nine-year-old daughter Leah Shirley (whom she shares with ex Gary Shirley) as a happy blended family.
