Amber Portwood Reportedly Owes the Federal Government $134,919 in Taxes

When it comes to money, Amber Portwood can’t seem to catch a break. The Teen Mom OG star is in hot water because of her extensive debt. Radar Online reports that the celebrity mom not only owes her baby daddy, Gary Shirley money, she also owes the federal government thousands of dollars.

The site previously reported that she was hit with a federal tax lien filed on February 19, 2016, for $134,919.21. “There is a tax, but no release,” the Clerk of Court for Madison County Court in Indiana explained. And, she has yet to pay off this debt. Gary also revealed that his ex-fiancée owes him back child support. “She owes me $9,600,” he told his wife Kristina Anderson. “Amber is not there. She is a come and go kind of mom. I don’t think her head is in kid mode.”

Apparently, Amber told Gary that she had the money she owes him and would set up a payment plan. But, she says that she’s also waiting for money from an ex: Matt Baier. On an episode of Teen Mom OG, she said that Matt stole $120,000 from her before they ended their relationship.

What’s even crazier than all the debt Amber has is all the money she makes from the MTV reality show. She makes reportedly $25,000 per episode (you read that right!). So how is it that a 27-year-old celeb can rack up that much debt while making roughly $675,000 a year (the show had 27 episodes last season)?

Although, if you ask Amber, Gary is only trying to make money off of her. She recently got in a Twitter feud with her ex. “Make sure to watch Gary and Kristina tonight talking s–t about me! It must be hard making money off of me! Being such a bad mom and all,” she wrote. “Where would they be? Wait..in a 1 bedroom shack in the ghetto of Anderson where he was before I got out and the show came back on!! Ignorant!” Draama, drama, drama.
