Amanda Bynes Joins OnlyFans to ‘Chat With Fans,’ Insists It’s Not for ‘Sleazy Content’

Amanda Bynes revealed that she joined OnlyFans, but the former Nickelodeon star clarified that she wouldn’t be posting any risqué content.

“I’m on OnlyFans now!” Amanda, 39, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, April 15. “Disclaimer: I’m doing OnlyFans to chat with my fans through dm’s. I won’t be posting any sleazy content. Excited to join.”

Along with the message, Amanda shared a link to her OnlyFans profile and a screenshot of her page on the site.

Amanda found fame in the early 2000s when she starred in Nickelodeon’s sketch comedy show, All That, and later, The Amanda Show. From there, she became a household name and landed roles in several films, including She’s the Man, Easy A and What a Girl Wants. However, she publicly struggled with her mental health and was placed under a conservatorship in 2013 after allegedly setting a fire in a neighbor’s driveway. Her mom, Lynn Bynes, was named as her conservator the following year.

While under the conservatorship, the Hairspray star earned a degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and also revealed that she had been diagnosed as bipolar. She explained that she was on medication and seeing a psychologist and psychiatrist every week.

Amanda’s conservatorship ended in 2022, just months after Britney Spears’ highly publicized conservatorship was terminated. However, her attorney, David Esquibias, said that the two weren’t comparable.

“Amanda’s conservatorship is nothing like Britney’s conservatorship,” David told NPR in an article published on March 22, 2022. “Amanda’s conservatorship was a collaborative effort with her parents. There was no fighting between her and her mother or father. Everyone was working together, including Amanda.”

He continued, “She recognized that it was operating in her best interests and she allowed it. And it worked. She has been studying merchandising and she has expressed an interest in creating a fragrance line.”

The Sydney White actress also gave her own statement to People regarding the end of her conservatorship.

“Following today’s decision by the judge to terminate my conservatorship, I would like to thank my fans for their love and well wishes during this time. I would also like to thank my lawyer and my parents for their support over the last nine years,” Amanda said at the time. “In the last several years, I have been working hard to improve my health so that I can live and work independently, and I will continue to prioritize my well-being in this next chapter. I am excited about my upcoming endeavors — including my fragrance line — and look forward to sharing more when I can.”

In February, a source exclusively told In Touch that Amanda was excited to pursue a career in fashion design after she decided to step away from acting.

“Amanda seems to be in a really great place,” the insider said. “She’s finally doing what she set out to do when she signed up for FIDM and she’s working on a fashion line and making art.”

The source continued, “She’s looking great and is feeling more confident in her body. She’s wearing tighter clothes and enjoying styling herself, she’s even been posting pics of her outfits on her stories.”
