It’s a Boy! ‘ABP’ Star Bear Brown and Raiven Adams Announce They’re Expecting a Son

There’s a mini-Bear Brown on the way! On Tuesday, November 12, the Alaskan Bush People star and his ex Raiven Adams revealed the gender of their baby. After teasing the news over the last few weeks, they finally found out that they’re expecting a little boy. Both parents took to Instagram to share the news with fans in their own announcements.

“Let the adventure begin,” Raiven, 21, captioned a photo of a baby boy’s outfit and her sonogram. In his own post, Bear, 32, added, “Hey, everybody! Guess what? Raiven and I are having a boy!!! And we couldn’t be more excited! It’s hard to believe that this time next year, I’ll actually be a dad! Thank you, everyone, for following my family and I all this time! Thank you for sticking with us, and thank you for always being there for us! Thank you and God bless!!!!”

The former couple has previously revealed that their baby’s due date is April 19, and that they have names picked out, though they’re not sharing what their ideas are. They’ve also been working hard to get everything ready for him. For Raiven, right now that means being mindful about what she eats — and she’s called it the hardest part of her pregnancy despite dealing with weeks of morning sickness. “I’m probably very extra about it, but I research everything I eat to make sure it’s safe,” she told fans during an Instagram Q&A. “It’s overwhelming sometimes.”

The exes have also been ironing out their relationship and what it will look like going forward. During a recent social media hiatus, they took the opportunity to reevaluate their romance and decided to just be friends instead. “Me and Bear split when we took a social media break,” Raiven shared on October 31. “We just wanted to get on good terms without all the input. We are doing well and still excited to be parents! Some people aren’t meant to be together … and we want to do what’s healthiest for our baby.”

In his own statement, Bear continued, “Once again, Raiven and I have decided that we are better as friends! So we’ve gone our separate ways! We, however, are still both looking forward to raising our little miracle as co-parents. … If Raiven or I decide to date anyone in the future, we will both be okay with it! We just want everybody to be happy! I won’t be dating anyone else for some time! I still have feelings for Raiven! I respectfully ask everybody to please give her some space and peace of mind!
