90 Day Fiance’s Tiffany Franco Debunks Ronald Smith Split Rumors Amid Cryptic Posts

Tiffany Franco Smith debunked rumors she and husband Ronald Smith split amid their cryptic posts on social media. 90 Day Fiancé fans were convinced the Other Way couple called it quits again following their brief breakup in January, but she confirmed they are still together on Monday, August 17.

Speculation of trouble in paradise began after people saw Ronald and Tiffany’s recent messages on Instagram Stories. “A man can only take so much,” the reality star dad, 29, wrote in one post. “Clearly I have not been on social media a lot of often enough I think it’s time I do the magic act and reappear,” he captioned another. 

Meanwhile, Tiffany, 27, vented she was so “f–king tired of the roller coaster” before unveiling her freshly cut hair which the mom of two “chopped [off] because [she] was sad.” 

Their enigmatic content seemingly hinted they were on the outs, but the season 1 alum said that wasn’t the case in a comment on blogger John Yates’ post. “It’s nothing. Mental health is not in the greatest shape for everyone at the moment. The pandemic and all the craziness keeping people apart will do it,” she replied.

Back in March, the reality star opened up about how her family was doing amid the quarantine and coronavirus outbreak in an exclusive statement to In Touch. Tiffany said it was understandably “very hard” at times because they were still in “two separate countries” and he was also “in a strict quarantine in [South Africa].”

“I manage to make fun events like backyard picnics, fort sleepovers, we watch tons of movies, [and] of course, lots of homework the school sends,” she shared. 

Although she and Ronald were “doing well,” she said it had been a “very weird time” for them since she was hunkered down in Maryland. They were already looking forward to starting a “new journey as a family living together” and unfortunately, it had to be postponed. 

While appearing on the May 25 episode of the TLC spinoff 90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined, the duo revealed they tried virtual marriage counseling post-split.

“It was nothing about infidelity or anything like that,” she said. “It was a gambling issue. He’s recovering. He’s working on himself. And he’s doing really really well.” 

Tiffany also discussed their plan for Ronald to relocate when the time is right. “The original plan was for [my son] Daniel and I to pick up our lives and move to South Africa, but when we weighed out the options, I would be forcing my son to give up way too much and this isn’t something I’m willing to do,” she explained. “So as a family, we decided we’re going to try to get Ronald to the United States.”
