90 Day Fiance’s Riley Diego Attaway Engaged After Proposing to Girlfriend Lexi on New Year’s Eve

Congratulations are in order for 90 Day Fiancé star Riley Diego Attaway, who rang in the new year by getting engaged to girlfriend Alexis “Lexi” Sanchez.

The 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days alum, 49, took to Instagram on Wednesday, January 1, to share a sweet video announcing his engagement. The post featured a clip of Riley in a car with a nervous expression on his face as he flipped the camera around to show a jewelry box with a ring inside. In another clip, he sat at a New Year’s Eve party and patted the ring box in his pocket. The next clip showed Riley standing beside Lexi and surrounded by their friends and family as he gave a speech.

“I don’t ever want to exist without you guys in my life,” he said, addressing his loved ones in the room before turning to Lexi and getting down on one knee. “Alexis Sanchez, will you marry me?”

Lexi put a hand to her mouth in shock and nodded her head to say “yes” before sharing a sweet hug with Riley.

The reality star ended the video by sharing a photo of himself and his fiancée posing together in front of gold and black balloons.

“May our love and marriage be stronger than my knees when I tried to stand up,” Riley joked in the caption.

Lexi commented on the post, “You definitely surprised me! I pray that our love continues to grow and get stronger.”

The comments were filled with congratulations from fellow 90 Day Fiancé stars, including Elizabeth Woods, Kim Menzies and more.

“Massive! Congratulations to you both!!!” Statler Riley added.

Lexi first appeared alongside Riley in a January 2024 teaser for his “Scotch & Conversations” podcast. The Pennsylvania native seemingly debuted his romance with Lexi via Instagram on February 6, 2024, by sharing a compilation video of their photos together. While it’s unclear exactly when the relationship began, the video hinted that they had been together since at least December 2023, as Riley and Lexi posed for a photo with Santa.

“We Ride Together,” he captioned the post.

Before Lexi, Riley was in a relationship with Violet Tuyet, with whom he appeared on Before the 90 Days season 6 in 2023. The former couple met online, and Riley traveled to Vietnam to be with Violet, 44, in person after two years together. However, they struggled with trust issues and communication. Riley and Violet split after season 6, and he later reflected on their relationship in an exclusive interview with In Touch.

“I had to answer to her what she expected of a mate, what she expected, the way she spoke,” Riley said. “I would express my feelings, but she would over speak me to express her feelings. Her feelings mattered.”

“She wasn’t a horrible person. She just had a horrible attitude,” he continued. “But over time, I started realizing that it felt like it was her way or the highway. I never had a voice.”
