Paul Staehle and his wife, Karine Staehle (née Martins), are in the midst of a court battle after she filed for a restraining order against him, and the father of one revealed he now “regrets” not “keeping [their] marital problems private.”

The star, 35, who currently appears on season 5 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?, admitted he “never knew [his] heart could feel such pain” because he always envisioned a bright future for their brood. “I regret taking for granted my family would be together forever and live happily ever after,” he added.

“I always took for granted my son [Pierre] would be around me everyday. Waking up to his smiling face. Playing and going for long walks,” Paul wrote on Instagram Stories, before seemingly confirming rumors his spouse is expecting baby No. 2.

“I never want to date or remarry to ever feel this pain again. To not be a part of your childrens’ life, born and unborn, is beyond painful,” he continued.

The Kentucky resident told other fathers to learn from him and “keep [their] ears and hearts open and mouths shut when upset.” Paul addressed the importance of not holding “grudges” because life is “unpredictable” and will always present new obstacles.

“This is a pain no one should have to endure,” the Other Way alum concluded. “I forgive all those in my life who have ever made false accusations against me. No matter who you are. I have no anger. No hate. No ill will.”

90 Day Fiance Paul Staele Home Severely Burglarized

Paul and Karine, 23, were scheduled to appear in court on August 11, and she previously blew off some steam in her own series of cryptic messages. One of which was about “narcissists” not taking “accountability” for their actions.

This isn’t the first time she has voiced her objections with Paul, either. In the July 12 episode, Karine called him a “no good husband” after she moved to the United States and saw potential homes for their family that were “falling to pieces.”

“I thought that being in America, my ideal home would have about two bedrooms, and have space, a kitchen, and a big yard where the baby could play and run,” she said in her confessional following the tense scene. “And if Paul doesn’t find a beautiful house, Pierre and I will go to Brazil without him.”

Paul and Karine were previously on the verge of divorce in November 2019. The estranged couple married in 2017 and fans got to watch their nuptials during season 2 of the spinoff 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days.
