90 Day Fiance’s Josh Says Jasmine Orchestrated ‘Open Marriage’ to Cover Up Affair: ‘Master Puppeteer’

90 Day Fiancé star Josh Weinstein has claimed that 90 Day: The Last Resort costar Jasmine Pineda orchestrated her “open marriage” with husband Gino Palazzolo in order to cover up an alleged affair that began before the show.

“I feel really bad for Gino,” the Arizona native, 43, said after calling Jasmine’s boyfriend, Matthew “Matei” Branistareanu, a “piece of s–t” on “The Sarah Fraser Show” podcast on Tuesday, February 25.

Jasmine, 38, and Gino, 56, joined The Last Resort season 2 to work on their intimacy issues after not having sex or sleeping in the same bed for at least eight months. While the Panama native often appeared to make advances toward her now-estranged husband that he seemingly rejected on the show, Josh claimed that The Last Resort’s depiction of Gino and Jasmine’s relationship was “not accurate.”

“Jasmine is the master puppeteer,” he said. “And I feel like Jasmine led all of us on at this resort, and she came up with this entire story because she was already cheating with Matt before the resort. She already had a connection with him.”

On The Last Resort, Jasmine pitched the idea of an open marriage to Gino as a solution to their intimacy issues. However, he was firmly against it because he was uncomfortable with the idea of sharing his wife with someone else. Jasmine continued to push for the open marriage and even introduced Matt to costars Stacey Silva and Julia Trubkina via a FaceTime call as a potential third person for her and Gino’s relationship.

Josh said on the podcast that he believed Jasmine orchestrated the open marriage idea and rallied for it “so that she could hide what was happening with Matt.”

“And she took Gino for a ride,” he continued. “She took us all for a ride.”

Josh also claimed that he and some of his Last Resort costars encouraged Gino to continue shutting down Jasmine’s request for an open marriage.

“We were like, ‘Gino, do not have an open marriage. Like, you cannot. And if you do, it cannot be this guy. OK? It cannot.’ And he’s like, ‘Yeah, I think you’re right.’ And he would listen to us for like, five minutes,” he said.

Josh concluded by seemingly teasing that a big revelation would be coming on the show.

“Jasmine was so brilliant that she pulled the wool over everybody’s eyes until the end, when we’re like, ‘Holy s–t,’” he said.

Josh has been vocal about Jasmine’s relationship drama amid the news that she is pregnant with Matt’s child. A source exclusively revealed the pregnancy to In Touch on January 6, saying that the father was “almost certainly” Matt, whom Jasmine met at a Michigan gym, and not Gino.

Jasmine later announced the news herself on February 18, one day after her FaceTime call with Matt on The Last Resort.

“Hi everyone, I have very special news for you!” she said in an Instagram video that showed her cradling her baby bump in a white dress. “Let me announce to you that I am pregnant, I am so happy and excited and I cannot wait to meet my beautiful baby.”

The official 90 Day Fiancé Instagram account confirmed that it was Matt’s child by writing in the caption, “Baby on the way! 90 Day Fiance’s Jasmine confirms she’s expecting with Matt, who she recently introduced on Last Resort.”

Josh reacted to the pregnancy news in an Instagram comment.

“As we all celebrate her pregnancy let’s not forget how she got here. She cheated on Gino and was with this loser Matt since before Last Resort,” he wrote. “Then pressured Gino into an Open Marriage so she could conceal her relationship with this Dummy Matt. Now she’s having his baby.”

Josh didn’t hold back as he continued, “I feel really bad for Gino, he was collateral damage and was heartbroken. He couldn’t be intimate with Jas because he was treated so badly. Poor @gpalazz2 I’m sorry for what you had to go through and I’m sorry we all didn’t see what you were actually going through sooner. Matt is nothing but a loser and a home wrecker.”

Jasmine previously addressed speculation she was unfaithful after cheating rumors first surfaced in May 2024 via a 90 Day Fiancé fan account. “My social media is for promoting the brands I work with including my own vegan protein, not address any nonsense gossip,” Jasmine wrote via Instagram Stories at the time.
