This is absolutely devastating. Rachel Walters revealed Lucy’s beloved daycare teacher, Nicole Robbins, was a victim of domestic violence in an emotional statement via Instagram on Dec. 3. The 90 Day Fiancé star shared heartbreaking details about Nicole’s tragic death with her followers.

“After dropping off Lucy at daycare this morning, I found out that Nicole was a victim of domestic violence and was recently murdered by the hands of her boyfriend, at the young age of 35. Although I didn’t know her on a deep personal level, I cried,” Rachel began. “Her family has a GoFundMe for her funeral costs, which I’ve found on her obituary, and donated to. I’m going to ask if anyone can, to please donate and help her family.”

According to local reports, police found Nicole’s body in the northeast Albuquerque, NM, apartment that she shared with her longterm boyfriend. Officers also noticed signs of trauma on her face and neck. “Fransisco Montoya, Robbins’ boyfriend who called 911, admitted to strangling and beating Robbins to death,” KOB4 claims. “Montoya was arrested for an open count of murder and tampering with evidence.”

Rachel revealed Nicole’s services are being held today, Dec. 3. “Imagine if they came home to every penny asked in their GoFundMe,” the TLC star concluded. In her recent statement, Rachel acknowledged what an incredible person Nicole was, writing that she’s “a kind soul, a mom-of-two, and genuinely cared about the tiny people she looked after.” The 90 Day Fiancé star added, “She was sweet and funny and a bright light to be around. She was one of my favorite people at daycare.” Rachel also shared a sweet photo of Nicole with her daughter at the beach as a tribute.

Several of Rachel’s fans shared their condolences for Nicole in the comment section. “Thoughts and prayers to her family and friends. This is so tragic,” one wrote. “This is heartbreaking. Unfortunately domestic violence is real and all too often this is the result. I am very sorry,” another added. Our thoughts are with Nicole’s family and loved ones during this extremely tough time.
