Ricky Reyes Says Being Used By TLC For ‘90 Day Fiancé’ Ratings Is ‘Not Worth It’

Season 2 of TLC‘s hit show 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days was pretty much insane — especially all the drama between Ricky Reyes and the various women in his life. But somehow, after the show, things have gotten even crazier. And now the 33-year-old reality seems to be blaming the network for all the drama, accusing them of taking advantage of him and his work. In an Instagram story posted on Friday, Oct. 26, he slammed TLC and Sharp Entertainment, the TV production company that makes the 90 Day Fiancé shows, and called working with them “not worth it.” Watch the video above to see what he said and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube Channel.

In mid-October, the reality star seemed to indicate that he was leaving the show. Now, he’s confirmed that news — and come for TLC in the process. But let’s be real. All this drama is hardly new. In fact, it actually started on the show with Melissa, who fully ghosted him after he’d flown down to Colombia to meet her. Then, there was Ximena, who he proposed to with the ring he’d bought for Melissa. And then, on the tell-all special at the end of the season, Ricky revealed that his ex-wife Natalia was actually still in the picture, and that he’d broken up with Ximena so that he could get back together with her for the sake of his kids.

We basically had whiplash watching Ricky’s storyline. And that was before the rumors started circulating that he had actually been with his ex all along and they’d planned together for him to go on the TV show so that he could get fame and generate interest in his film production business. Though Natalia has denied any involvement in the show, not to mention scheming to come up with a fake storyline, she didn’t seem to deny Ricky’s part in things — and she alleged that TLC knew everything from the word-go.

If that’s true, it’s super shady. It also kind of explains why the father-of-two would be so pissed off at the network now that he’s being thrown under the bus. This isn’t the first time he’s called them out, either. He seemingly slammed TLC back in September, hinting at taking legal action and writing, “I go all out when something is not right.” But what exactly is not right here? TLC allegedly taking advantage of its reality show stars? Or is Ricky accusing the show of letting his reputation be trampled after his plotting gave them gangbuster ratings? We’ve reached out to TLC for comment, but haven’t yet heard back. In the meantime, we may have to wait on another rant from Ricky to find out — but there’s definitely something fishy going on.
