The newest 90 Day Fiancé spinoff, 90 Day: The Last Resort, has featured plenty of drama between Asuelu and Kalani as they attempt to work through infidelity issues in couples’ therapy. In the premiere, Kalani revealed that Asuelu had cheated on her by accepting oral sex from another woman at a bar in his native Samoa. Kalani learned about her husband’s infidelity when she noticed on a FaceTime call that Asuelu’s tongue was white, which is typically a sign of an oral yeast infection known as thrush.

While Kalani wanted to end things with Asuelu, he instead offered her a hall pass to kiss someone else as payback. She used her hall pass with another man — who was identified as Dallas Nuez, Kalani’s boyfriend — and the kiss led to oral sex and then actual sex. She then caught feelings for the man and stayed in touch with him, which hurt Asuelu. 

Kalani caught her sister up to speed on the situation during the August 28 episode of 90 Day: The Last Resort. She revealed that she and Asuelu had a “truthful conversation” where Asuelu promised that he would never cheat again and that he wanted their family, which includes two kids, to stay together. In response, Kalani blocked the other man. 

While Kolini seemed skeptical of Asuelu’s promise, she admitted that Kalani likely knows him better than anyone. “If you really think he’s trying, then maybe you should, like, put in all your effort, ‘cause why not? That’s why you’re here,” Kolini told her sister. 

Kolini also supported Kalani as she said taking the hall pass opened her eyes to new standards for the way she wants Asuelu to treat her. In a confessional, Kolini said, “I understand why my sister grew some feelings for the other guy. Asuelu gave her that hall pass and I don’t really blame her. I do think it’s probably best that she block him just so she can give her marriage a fair shot and to really put all her effort into this experience.”
