Jenny Slatten, who has been featured on the reality show 90 Day Fiancé, has been diagnosed with ALS.
In an interview with People published Tuesday, May 19, the reality star, 68, and her husband Sumit Singh, 38, revealed that she was diagnosed with the neurological disorder in December 2025.
Though she began exhibiting symptoms about a year prior, Slatten attended a 90 Day Fiancé holiday party in New York City in December, and fans began to notice something was off.
After a fan suggested that Slatten — whose father died of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis — may be showing signs of ALS, including her slowed speech, the couple met with several neurologists.
When Slatten was officially diagnosed, “We cried and held each other,” she told People, adding that she and her husband are “scared” of what may come next.

According to the Mayo Clinic, ALS (often referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease) is “a nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.” ALS eventually affects the muscles needed to move, speak, eat and breathe. It is fatal, and there is currently no cure. In February, Grey’s Anatomy alum Eric Dane died at 53 after being diagnosed with ALS.
Singh said that his wife started showing signs in December 2024, when she choked while drinking water. She then began experiencing migraines and had trouble swallowing pills. Still, Singh told People that Slatten’s doctors said the progression of her ALS “is slow,” and they are currently exploring treatment options.
“We’re doing what we can,” Slatten said.
The couple — who will appear on Season 3 of 90 Day: The Last Resort, which premieres June 1 — will continue to live in India, according to People.
“I don’t want to be treated any different,” Slatten said. “Let’s just live our life as we have been while we can.”
