Inside Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas’ Future If They Become a Couple: ‘Could Get Serious Real Fast’

Nearly three months ago, Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas were spotted together for the first time. After leaving a restaurant in London’s Soho neighborhood the night before Valentine’s Day, the American action star and the Cuban actress, who were carrying doggie bags, stopped to pose for selfies with a group of fans before hopping into a taxi together. Reports at the time cited sources who claimed the pair had just enjoyed dinner with their agents to talk about the potential for future collaborations.

But was it the start of something more? On May 3, the Top Gun actor and the Blonde actress were photographed ducking down in the back seat of an SUV after leaving Core, a restaurant in London’s Notting Hill area, after attending his pal David Beckham’s 50th birthday party. That came days after a tourist posted a video of the pair walking through a London park with some of Ana’s pals on April 30 — the former Bond girl’s 37th birthday, which they celebrated over a meal at KOL, Page Six reported. “It seems something is up between Tom and Ana,” a source exclusively tells In Touch. “Despite the age difference” — at 62, he’s nearly 26 years her senior — “they make a great, good-looking couple. Ana is a lot of fun — Tom is going to be attracted to that.”

Before the rash of recent sightings, the Mission: Impossible actor was seen at a London heliport with Ana in March and again in mid-April — she was seen exiting the aircraft with her two dogs — after they returned from a trip to Madrid, Page Six reported. The Knives Out actress was last seen with her most recent boyfriend, Manuel Anido Cuesta, — the stepson of Cuba’s President Miguel Díaz-Canel — in the Spanish capital days after her February dinner with Tom.

He, meanwhile, hasn’t been in any high-profile romances since third wife, Katie Holmes, left
him in 2012. “Ever since he got blindsided by the divorce from Katie, Tom has hardly dated,” says the source. “But Ana could be the one.”

He has a history of pursuing talented Spanish-speaking brunettes. In 2005, Tom romanced Sofía Vergara and from 2001 to 2004 he dated his Vanilla Sky costar Penélope Cruz. Ana might be decades his junior, but like Tom, she’s an Oscar nominee with a resume full of action films like the James Bond movie No Time to Die, The Gray Man, Ghosted and the upcoming John Wick universe flick Ballerina, which hits theaters in June a few weeks after Tom returns to screens in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. “This is not a case of someone using someone to propel their career. Ana is established in her own right,” says the source. “This could get serious real fast.”
