TLC (4)
TLC’s latest original series explores the lives of virgins in their 30s and 40s – and it’s sure to be a sweet, awkward and sometimes wild journey of self-discovery.
In Touch rounds up everything to know about TLC’s upcoming show Virgins.
What Is TLC’s ‘Virgins’ About?
Virgins follows four “late bloomers” – one man and three women – who are “done playing it safe” after years of “missed connections and dating horror stories.”
“They’re stepping outside their comfort zones and taking big swings to finally go all the way, emotionally and physically,” the press release reads. “From navigating awkward first dates to exploring a bondage class and working with an intimacy partner they’re putting it all on the line in hopes of finally sealing the deal.”
“Virgins isn’t just about sex,” TLC’s announcement continues. “It’s about embracing vulnerability and pushing past fears where the real climax is confidence, connection and self-love.”
Meet the Cast of TLC’s ‘Virgins’

The cast includes Alex, Deanne, Rhasha and Sonali.
Alex, 34, is from Reading, Pennsylvania, and is described as a “textbook failure to launch.” He currently lives in his parents’ attic, but with the help of his sisters, he’s ready to claim his independence and search for romance – even if it means trying surprising new things, like tantra speed dating!

Deanne, 35, is a beautiful woman from Los Angeles, California, who believes in the “fairy tale” of love, but she hasn’t had success due to her “high standards” and her quickness to “dismiss any many she meets,” according to TLC.
Will this new journey pave the way for her to let her guard down and let love into her life?

Unlike her other castmates, Rhasha, 42, is currently divorced, but she remained celibate throughout her marriage.
After a confidence-boosting weight-loss transformation in which she shed an impressive 80 pounds, she’s ready to hit the dating scene and explore her sexuality in Jacksonville, Florida – and that includes her desire to “dive headfirst into role play and BDSM.”

Sonali, 37, is a South Asian woman living in Hollywood, California, who “dreams of a romantic first time filled with jazz, wine, and rose petals,” but real life hasn’t been able to hold a candle to her fantasy. She even admits that she’s “never masturbated” or “had an orgasm.”
Coming from a conservative home life and with concerns that she may not be able to have sex, Sonali will have to confront her anxieties and learn to embrace intimacy in the way that works best for her.
Highlights From the ‘Virgins’ Trailer
The four cast members reveal how they envision their first time in the playful first trailer for TLC’s Virgins.
Rhasha bursts into laughter when she replies she wants it to be “intimate” and “steamy,” while Sonali says she imagines it as “pure paradise” before quickly clarifying, “Not on the beach though, because that would hurt, I think, and get messy.”
Alex said he envisions it as feeling “glorious, because that’s why people do it so much,” and Deanne voices her concerns on potentially wondering if she’s “doing this right” and being “bad at it.”
