Tarek and Heather El Moussa Struggle to Explain Complicated Family Tree With Christina Haack: ‘Should We ChatGPT This?’

HGTV stars Tarek El Moussa and Heather El Moussa have maintained a strong relationship with their The Flip Off costar, his ex-wife Christina Haack. Despite their coparenting wins and friendship off-camera, the group questions how they are related.

“Coparent so well, we don’t know what to call each other anymore,” Heather, 38, joked over a video shared via Instagram on Sunday, August 23.

In the clip, Heather, Tarek, 44, Haack, 43, and her boyfriend, Christopher Larocca, are lounging poolside while attempting to dissect their family tree.

“What is your relation to Hudson?” Larocca asked Tarek — referring to Haack’s youngest son, whom she shares with ex Ant Anstead. “Are you his ex stepdad? Ex uncle?”

The Flip or Flop star responded, “This is actually a very good question and I have no idea,” adding that in order to be Hudson’s uncle, he would have to be his ex-wife’s brother.

The group then noted that Hudson is half-brothers with Tarek and Haack’s son, Brayden, 11.

“Should we ChatGPT this? I need to really think this through,” Heather chimed in.

The familial relations only get more confusing when the Selling Sunset star brings up her own son, 3-year-old son Tristan, who is related by blood to Brayden but not Hudson.

“What are Hudson and Tristan?” Haack asked.

“And what am I?! I’m the stepmom. I’m the ex-stepmom, half?” joked Heather of Hudson.

Larocca added, “This is what is called a modern family.”

Despite both Haack and Tarek — who also share daughter Taylor, 15— moving on following their 2018 divorce, they continued to work together on their HGTV series and have formed a bond as friends.
