‘Sister Wives’ Star Meri Brown Slams Kody Split Rumors After Speculation: ‘I Love This Man’

Finally breaking her silence! After more than a year of speculation, Sister Wives star Meri Brown took to Instagram to deny she and husband Kody Brown have broken up.

“Let’s just clarify something here. I love this man,” wrote Meri with a blue heart emoji alongside a snuggly selfie with her longtime husband — the first she’s posted of him since a family photo in November 2019. “I don’t owe anyone an explanation but I’ll do it anyway.”

“I’m well aware that we, as a family, have chosen to put ourselves ‘out there’, which, in turn, brings about all kinds of speculation, commentary, and opinions,” she wrote. “But it comes down to this. My relationship with him is MY relationship with him. Sure we’ve had ups and downs through the years (I mean, isn’t that somewhat normal?) High highs and low lows. All of which, you get to see ‘some’ of, and speculate on. And that’s ok. You do you, boo.”

“But here’s my truth. I love him. I love my family. I’m committed. I have 30 years in this. We struggle. We communicate. We repair relationships as the parties involved are willing and able,” she added.

The last season of Sister Wives showed some of those tough moments. The couple seemed to be at each others’ throats, with Kody opting to spend more time with his other wives. In fact, there’s been tension between Meri and Kody for years, eventually leading to Meri’s shocking catfishing scandal in 2015, which played out on the show. In the wake of the drama, the family moved from Las Vegas to Arizona, but many wondered if Meri actually went with them. She is often seen spending time with her kids and her friends, focusing on her inn and LuLaRoe business and traveling, but she says fans shouldn’t look too deep into her independent lifestyle.

“I’m an independent person who does her own thing,” she wrote. “I travel a lot. (Well, pre-covid that is.) I have multiple businesses. I have many friends. I have male friends, (Gasp! Shocker!) and I won’t apologize for that. I’m human. I have feelings. I make mistakes. I rise when I’ve fallen. Sometimes it takes longer than other times to rise. I. Will. Always. Rise. I get angry. I feel peace. I feel pain. I feel joy. I forgive. I love. I’m HUMAN.”

Meri even seemed to clap back at rumors that she doesn’t live with the rest of the family by geotagging her post in Arizona.

“I’m here. I’m committed. I’m not going anywhere,” she concluded. “Don’t get your hopes up on that.”
