Sean “Diddy” Combs just made a major real estate move.

The disgraced rapper, 56, who is behind bars after being found guilty of two prostitution charges, sold one of his waterfront Star Island mansions in Florida for $55 million, according to The Real Deal.

Combs’ waterfront property was purchased by JFStar LLC, a real estate holding company based in Newport News, Virginia, per the outlet. The buyer reportedly financed the purchase — an off-market deal — with an $18.5 million mortgage from Axos Bank, based in San Diego, California.

The six-bedroom, eight-and-a-half-bathroom property features 240 feet of waterfront, along with a pool, spa and private dock. Originally built in 1940, the estate was later expanded in 1995. Gloria and Emilio Estefan sold the property to Combs in 2021. It was considered their guest house on Star Island, where they also own a larger estate.

And though he’s letting go of the property, per The Real Deal, Combs still owns his main house right next door.

The real estate sale comes amid Combs’ 50-month prison sentence. The record executive began serving time in October 2025 after being convicted of two counts of violating the Mann Act for transporting people across state lines for the purpose of prostitution, and was ordered to pay a $500,000 fine.

Combs, who is currently incarcerated at Fort Dix, a low-security federal prison in southern New Jersey, was acquitted of additional charges, including racketeering conspiracy and two counts of sex trafficking. His legal team is now seeking to overturn his conviction.

According to a report from Us Weekly, back in April, three judges from the Second U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York City spent nearly two hours hearing arguments from Combs’ legal team, who argued that his punishment was “unfairly harsh” and claimed recordings from Combs’ infamous freak-offs were “attempts at amateur pornography” protected by the First Amendment.

No decision on a potential appeal has been made, but Combs remains hopeful, with his lawyer, Juda Engelmayer, telling Us Weekly in June that his client is “remarkably positive” as he waits for the court’s decision.

“He’s focused on the appeal,” Engelmayer told the outlet, and is “looking back at his life and trying to figure out ways to improve and be a better person.”
