Olivia Jade Giannulli Splits From Boyfriend Jackson Guthy Amid College Admissions Scandal

Olivia Jade Giannulli is no longer dating her boyfriend, Jackson Guthy, a source confirmed to Us Weekly on Tuesday, May 7. “Olivia and Jackson have been cooling off for a couple months,” the insider revealed. “They aren’t together anymore but are still very cordial and really do remain friends.”

Just two months ago, the 19-year-old learned that her parents, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli, were allegedly involved in a nationwide college admissions scandal. Despite the craziness happening with her family, Guthy was “there for Olivia” during the past couple of months. “Whether it be the occasional coffee run or just being physically near her, he’s trying to be supportive,” a third insider told the publication. “It hasn’t always been easy, given the crazy amount of spotlight on them right now.”

The California native even crashed at her beau’s house after the news broke. “Olivia has been staying with her boyfriend in Malibu. She’s not talking to her parents right now,” a source revealed at the time. “Olivia hasn’t been out with friends. She is completely in hiding right now. Olivia is posting private Stories on her Instagram, using the only-close-friends option, to share her days on social media with her close circle.”

In the end, it seemed like the former flames couldn’t make it work. The source noted that they “haven’t been spending as much time together [as] they were before.” Now, the brunette beauty is trying to put the past behind her — once and for all. “Olivia has been leaning on friends and wants a new place to start a new chapter,” the insider said. “Olivia is very much in the headspace [that] she wants to move forward from the scandal. She’s focusing on what’s next and not looking back.”

Loughlin, 54, and Giannulli, 55, were arrested in March after they allegedly “agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000 in exchange for having their two daughters, Isabella, 20, and Olivia designated as recruits to the USC crew team — despite the fact that they did not participate in crew — thereby facilitating their admission to USC.” The duo was later released from jail on $1 million bond.

On April 9, the Full House alum and the fashion designer were hit with new money laundering charges for their alleged involvement in the scandal but pleaded not guilty later that month.
