Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman Indicted for Allegedly Participating in College Scam

Hollywood stars Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman were indicted on Tuesday, March 12, on charges related to a nationwide college admissions cheating scam, In Touch can confirm. The Desperate Housewives alum, 56, was arrested and the Fuller House star, 54, currently has a warrant out for her arrest. Huffman is in custody and has an initial court appearance scheduled for this afternoon, while Loughlin was contacted by federal authorities and told to turn herself in.

According to court documents obtained by In Touch, there were arrest warrants were granted on March 11 for both Loughlin and Huffman for “conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud.”

Loughlin, Huffman, and the other defendants were accused of the following: “bribing college entrance exam administrators to allowed a third party to facilitate cheating on college entrance exams, bribing university athletic coaches and administrators to designate applicants as purported athletic recruits, having a third party take classes in place of the actual students with the understanding that grades and in those classes would be submitted as part of the students’ college applications, submitting falsified applications for admissions to universities, disguising the nature and source of by payments by funneling the money through the accounts of a purported charity from which many of the bribes were then paid.”

Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, allegedly “agreed to pay bribes totaling 500,000 in exchange for having their two daughters [20-year-old daughter Isabella and 19-year-old daughter Olivia] designated as recruits to the USC crew team — despite the fact that they did not participate in crew — there y facilitating their admission to USC.”

Huffman and her husband, William H. Macy, allegedly “made a purported charitable contribution of $15,000 to KWF to participate in the college entrance exam cheating scheme on behalf of her oldest daughter,” 18-year-old Sofia. The documents also claim that “Huffman later made arrangements to pursue the scheme a second time, for her youngest daughter,” 16-year-old Georgia, but then she allegedly decided “not to do so.”
