This Sunday is the MTV Movie and TV Awards, and if you’re as excited as we are, you probably already have your popcorn ready and your DVR set to capture those WTF moments everyone will be talking about the next day.
But to hold you over until the weekend, we decided to take a little stroll down memory lane and relive some past moments that happened 10 years ago at the 2007 MTV Movie Awards.

Ten years ago, the red carpet was full of baby-faced High School Musical stars and the ladies from The Hills. There was not a single Kardashian in attendance — instead, Paris Hilton sashayed down the red carpet, who was in her peak of popularity back then (how quickly we forget).
Another odd fact about the 2007 show? Seeing Jessica Biel without her main squeeze, Justin Timberlake. They actually met and started dating that year, but we guess it was too early in their relationship to make things “official” with a walk down the red carpet.
Although the MTV Movie Awards is clearly the little sister of MTV awards shows, with the VMAs being the head honcho (obviously), there’s still a lot to like about the quirky event.
Unlike other award shows that are stuffy and buttoned up, the MTV Movie Awards are laid back and have goofy categories like “Best Fight” and “Best Kiss.” Because of its lax reputation and totally casual dress code, the most interesting assortment of celebs show up in the most questionable outfits.
