Blac Chyna’s Brand “Will Survive” Sex Tape Leak, Says Reputation Expert (EXCLUSIVE)

Last week, model and business owner Blac Chyna‘s sex tape leaked — and Mechie, who used to be Chy’s boyfriend, confirmed that he was the male ~star~ of the video. While tapes like this can quickly tarnish a person’s reputation, brand expert Eric Schiffer revealed to In Touch exclusively that this doesn’t need to be the case for the mother-of-two.

“There certainly are a lot of people saying that this leak is going to ruin her brand and will end up being a debacle, but she will survive this, and perhaps benefit as well because of the exposure. Don’t forget that a sex tape was what created Kim Kardashian, and that exposure can be shaped later on — and we don’t know how this got out there,” he explained via phone last week.

“She denies it, and if we’re taking her at her word, then she would be like Lisa Bloom had said when this first broke that in that sense, she’s a victim of revenge porn on some level. We don’t know all the facts and we’re gonna find out what really happened, and in the mean time, her brand is not destroyed nor will this destroy her brand.”

While Mechie confessed to filming the video, the footage was stored on Chy’s phone and she denied giving anyone permission to share it. Both parties want whoever leaked the video to be identified and prosecuted.

“There is no room in today’s society for revenge porn and the laws now, thanks to people like Lisa and others, are tough to ensure that that kind of reckless behavior doesn’t occur,” Eric continued. “Women should not become victims in such a way by anyone from that kind of activity. People have a right to have sex videos that they make, but there’s no right for anyone to disclose them to the public without authority and against someone’s will.”
