Love on the Spectrum star Connor Tomlinson shared an update about his relationship with Georgie Harris after fans watched them pursue a romance on the Netflix show.

In an interview published on Friday, April 11, Connor, 26, told People that he and Georgie are still together. However, he admitted that they were working through navigating communication issues since they’re both new to being in a relationship.

Connor’s mother, Lise Menard Smith, told the outlet that sometimes her son has a hard time reading “a female’s emotions,” and he revealed he planned to have a conversation with Georgie to find out “where I stand really.”

After Lise said that dating is “complicated,” she continued, “He’s been getting some mixed signals from her, he wants to have a talk with her. The navigating female signals has been a little bit of a hurdle, so they need to set up a time.”

While communicating hasn’t always been easy, Connor and Georgie are enjoying their time together and even celebrated their first Valentine’s Day as a couple in February. “We went to Medieval Times,” he said of their outing, and Lise added that Connor upgraded Georgie to the “queen’s package” so they had front row seats to the joust.

For her gift, Connor gave Georgie “a blanket with her and her old dog on it.” Meanwhile, he revealed that Georgie got him “a blanket [with a photo] of when she came over to my house of us holding my dogs.”

During their time on the reality show, fans watched Connor become instantly smitten with Georgie on their first date. After they shared their first kiss, the couple made things official and Georgie got to meet Lise and Connor’s sister Anna Tomlinson.

Connor reflected on meeting Georgie for the first time while speaking to Netflix’s Tudum, revealing that he “felt sparks.”

“I immediately felt weak in the knees and uneasy, and I quickly tried to calm down,” he recalled of their first meeting. “I really loved the way she did her hair for our first date. It reminded me of a Viking shield-maiden’s braids.”

Not only did Connor share an update about his relationship with Georgie, but he also revealed how his time on Love on the Spectrum changed his thoughts about relationships as a person on the autism spectrum.

“It was amazing, profound, nerve-racking,” he said of his experience on season 3 while speaking to People. “It’s taught me a lot of lessons, like how to open a door for the lady, pull her seat out, listen to when she speaks, but it also made me realize what I’m capable of, or incapable of.”

Connor said that starring on the show allowed him to see “a lot of cool places,” while it “really helped [him] mature” when it comes to dating.

However, Connor also admitted he sometimes felt “discouraged” about finding his perfect match during his time on the show. “I mean, it’s a lot of responsibility. You got to remember special days. You got to remember certain things. You got to know things. It’s a lot of pressure,” he said.
