Lori Loughlin Allegedly Claimed Daughter Olivia Was Too ‘Confused’ to Do Her Own USC Application in Email

Yikes, this just gets worse and worse. Lori Loughlin’s daughter Olivia Jade was allegedly accepted into the University of Southern California thanks to a college admissions scandal and bribes from her parents, and court documents appear to claim that she didn’t even fill out her own USC application. Did she do anything to earn her spot at the school?

In December 2017, Loughlin, 54, emailed the cooperating witness in the national college admissions scam case to “request guidance on how to complete the formal USC application, in the wake of her [other] daughter’s provisional acceptance as a recruited athlete,” according to documents obtained by In Touch. The actress allegedly wrote: “[Our younger daughter] has not submitted all her colleges [sic] apps and is confused on how to do so. I want to make sure she gets those in as I don’t want to call any attention to [her] with her little friend at [her high school]. Can you tell us how to proceed?”

The person Loughlin contacted, later identified as William “Rick” Singer, allegedly “responded by directing an employee to submit the applications.” So it’s not like Olivia, 19, asked her parents for help the way a lot of prospective college students probably do — she allegedly had someone else do the entire thing for her. As if this whole alleged situation didn’t already put her in a bad enough bad light.

Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, allegedly “agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000 in exchange for having their two daughters [20-year-old daughter Isabella and 19-year-old daughter Olivia] designated as recruits to the USC crew team — despite the fact that they did not participate in crew — thereby facilitating their admission to USC,” and were indicted on March 12.

But wait — there’s more. In a video posted to her YouTube channel on August 14, Olivia said, “I don’t know how much of school I’m gonna attend, but I’m gonna go in and talk to my deans and everyone, and hope that I can try and balance it all … But I do want the experience … I don’t really care about school, as you guys all know.”

This latest allegation shows just how little she may have cared if she wouldn’t even take the time to learn how to fill out an application to attend the “really nice school” she claimed to be “grateful” to attend in a follow-up video. How unfortunate and unfair for students who appear to have worked much harder than she did to get an education.
