Lamar Odom Says ‘It’s Too Bad’ Tristan Thompson ‘Hurt’ Khloé Kardashian in Cheating Scandal

He can relate. Lamar Odom understands what it’s like to be thrust into the spotlight when you’re dating a Kardashian, so when he heard the news that Khloé Kardashian’s baby daddy, Tristan Thompson, cheated on her, he was less than thrilled.

“I don’t know where [Tristan’s] from, but that’s a hard lane to step in if you’re not really prepared for that,” the 39-year-old said told Us Weekly while promoting his new memoir, Darkness to Light. “I’m not sure if anybody can really prepare for that if they’re not sat down and told how it’s going to be, like, all eyes on you … You can’t even understand.”

He added, “As far as being an athlete, it made me thrive, but he caught up. It’s too bad he hurt my lady like that, that woman like that, it’s too bad.”

The 28-year-old Canada native first cheated on the KUWTK starlet, 34, with multiple women just two days before their daughter, True, was born. Then, in February, Tristan hooked up with Kylie Jenner’s BFF Jordyn Woods after a night out in Santa Monica.

Since then, the Good American designer has been trying to focus on herself and her baby girl, but the split is still fresh in her mind. “It does f–king suck because our personal emotions are still in there,” she said during an appearance on Laura Wasser’s podcast, “Divorce Sucks!” “For me, Tristan and I broke up not too long ago, so it’s really raw. Those emotions can be heightened at times, but I do everything in my power — True is one and, like, a month old — so, she doesn’t really know what’s happening, but to me, she does know, and she feels energy, and I’m a big believer of that.”

Even though Lamar and Koko are no longer together, the former flames had their issues as well. In his book, the dad of two admitted that he was unfaithful to the blonde beauty several times. “Getting caught by your spouse, doing anything that you not supposed to do, is going to be embarrassing,” he said. “I didn’t even think I was going to get caught doing anything. I didn’t think.”

The mom of one married Lamar in September 2009 after they dated for one month. However, things didn’t work out since the Revenge Body host filed for divorce in December 2013, but following the news of his near-fatal overdose in October 2015, she decided to withdraw the papers. Ultimately, Khlo filed for divorce a second time in May 2016.

But the NBA player is hoping there could be a reconciliation down the line. “I wake up every day hoping that way, but you are going to have to ask her,” he told Jenny McCarthy on her show on May 29.
