Kate Stoltz Plays Coy When Asked If Breaking Amish Is Scripted (EXCLUSIVE)

Rumors have been swirling for years that TLC reality shows Breaking Amish and Return to Amish may not be so ~real~ after all. In an exclusive interview with In Touch, Kate Stoltz — who now runs her own fashion line, Kate Stoltz New York — played coy when asked about the allegations.

"I really can't [say]. I'm sorry," she revealed, adding she is not in touch with any of her former co-stars. When asked if she would ever return to the small screen, Kate replied, "For now, I just really want to focus on design and continue studying architecture, the history of fashion, and art. I really get inspired by just visiting art galleries and learning about different cultures, studying fashion — I feel like I have so much to learn and there are so many things I want to do in this world. It's very labor-intensive. I spend a lot of time on some pieces, so I really just want to focus on this for now."

However, the former reality star did reveal she's on better terms with her family today. "My family and I have become — we're on much better terms now. I really enjoy going home and seeing them," she shared. "They're always very welcoming to me, so I'm definitely thankful for their support."

Kate showed off her latest designs during New York Fashion Week at her pop-up on Elizabeth Street in the big apple. According to a press release, "Since becoming the breakout star of TLC's Breaking Amish, Kate left the reality TV world behind to pursue her true passion: a career in design. After graduating from FIT and securing a coveted position in Product Design at Jason Wu, Kate decided to once again break out on her own, fulfilling a lifelong dream of building her own label from the ground up. Kate started crafting highly-sought after micro destination collections, and is now thrilled to bring her first full collection to the forefront after 5 years of living and working in NYC."
