There’s definitely some trouble in Teen Mom land right now. After it was revealed that Ryan Edwards from Teen Mom OG was arrested on charges relating to possession of heroin, Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry came for his pregnant wife, Mackenzie Standifer. We just learned earlier this week that Ryan — who shares a nine-year-old son Bentley with Maci Bookout — and Mackenzie are expecting their first child together, and let’s just say Kail has some opinions.
The outspoken Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars alum took to Twitter to weigh in on the situation, where she wrote, “People struggle with addiction — and that’s unfortunate enough.” The mother-of-three then switched to some harsher commentary about Mackenzie. “But IN MY OWN OPINION. I see someone who came in and manipulated a situation to her own benefit, to secure a check, then went a step further and got pregnant — so that when they split, she is set with a couple dollars. But that’s MY OWN opinion.”
It’s no secret that Ryan has a history of substance abuse. On last year’s finale of the MTV reality series, fans noticed he was driving while high on the way to his wedding. He also completed a stint in rehab — and was recently rumored to fail a drug test. Maci opened up to her co-stars and husband, Taylor McKinney, about his issues over the last year, which the new Mrs. Edwards made clear she took issue with at last season’s reunion.
