Jordyn Woods Says She ‘Would Have Hurt Herself’ If She ‘Was a Weak Person’ Amid Cheating Scandal

She’s not dealing with the drama very well! Jordyn Woods opened up about her cheating scandal with Tristan Thompson for the first time in a Friday, March 1 interview with Jada Pinkett Smith. During the Red Table Talk discussion, she opened up about exactly what went down — and how she’s handling it all. But in a scary, vulnerable moment, the model admitted that things have gotten so bad that self-harm wasn’t out of the question.

“The first few days were definitely the hardest. I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t eat for days, I couldn’t look at my phone even,” Jordyn, 21, admitted. “I would just try to sleep and hope that I would wake up and this wouldn’t be true. And every day it was a new headline. Every time you press the page, it’s another person bullying me or wishing death upon me or telling me something like, ‘Your father deserved to die.’ … I may have done something wrong, but whatever I did, I don’t think I deserve this. … If I was a weak person, I would’ve hurt myself.”

Part of what makes the whole situation so rough is that she doesn’t have as many people to turn to as she did before the scandal broke. Though she claims she didn’t sleep with Tristan and that it was only one kiss, that action was enough to turn Khloé Kardashian against her, which meant losing the support of the whole Kardashian family, including her BFF Kylie Jenner. Having to struggle through all of this without them makes the hurt doubly intense. “The crazy thing is the arms that I thought would be around me, are nowhere to be found,” Jordyn confessed tearily.

All the hate she’s getting online doesn’t make it any easier. “They’re putting their focus on a young black woman who made a mistake, and not a mistake that’s worthy of public crucifixion,” she said. “It’s a mistake that should have been dealt with internally.” But ultimately, she didn’t want to make the interview about how hard the end of February had been for her. “I’m not here to play the victim,” she said. “I’m here to take responsibility. And when I was asked about what happened that night, I didn’t tell the truth to the people that I loved.”
