She’s clapping back. The cast of Beverly Hills, 90210 have slowly started to take to social media to pay tribute to the Luke Perry after his untimely death earlier this week. But 90210 alum Jennie Garth got a lot of backlash for breaking her social media silence since Perry’s death to post a photo of her daughters instead of sharing a tribute to her late costar.

“These women 💙💜❤️ #internationalwomensday #sisters,” 46, wrote in the caption of a sweet photo of her girls — Luca, 21, Lola, 16 and Fiona, 12. But the social media trolls quickly ruined the moment and dragged Jennie in the comments.

“Nothing about Luke?” one Instagram user wrote, and another commented, “It’s obvious her and Tori Spelling didn’t have a relationship with him. People who did have something to say. They may be shocked but they’re not mourning.”

The comments got so out of control that Jennie had to respond to the haters herself. “Hey everyone … I chose to post a pic of my girls today. Because they are my life. Because today is a day to celebrate all women,” Jenne wrote in her comment. “It took a lot for me to want to celebrate anything. I thought about it and I know that’s the way my dear friend would have wanted it. His kids were his life. And anyone who knew him knows that and knows he didn’t give a f–k about social media. So please don’t assume or judge or make rude comments. That’s really uncool. Sincerely, Jennie.”

Perry passed away on Monday, March 4, at 52 years old after he had suffered a massive stroke just five days before. Perry’s family, friends, fans, celebrities and costars all took to social media to share tributes to him after his death — including his longtime friend and 90210 costar Shannen Doherty.

“Yesterday morning I got a phone call that devastated me. I’m struggling with this loss and am having a hard time with my thoughts,” the 47-year-old wrote on Instagram. But, my heart goes out to his family and friends who were blessed by his light in their (and mine) lives. Processing this is impossible right now.”
