“I had to go get hypnotized to, like, not pee my pants when they said, ‘And dancing the waltz! Jennie Garth and her partner, Derek Hough!'” Garth, 54, said during a Monday, May 25, appearance on the Pod Meets World podcast.
“I’m not the person that’s like, ‘Hey, look at me, everybody!’ Like, I don’t love that,” the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum added.

“He looked like a 12-year-old,” the former What I Like About You star said with a laugh. “I literally just laughed in his face. I was like, ‘You’re gonna be my dance partner?’ You look like you’re my son.”
She added that even though she could “never take him serious” and couldn’t do those “romantic” moves paired dancers often incorporate into their performances, she and Hough had “so much fun.”
While Garth made it all the way to the semifinals, she admitted that it was a relief when she was voted off.
“I think that that show… really showed me how strong I was,” Garth explained to podcast cohostsRyder Strong, Will Friedeland Danielle Fishel. “I was so happy when I got kicked off because I did not like that kind of stress and the spotlight.”
