Lori Loughlin’s Daughter Isabella Giannulli Deletes Instagram Following College Admissions Scandal

Deactivated. Isabella Giannulli has deleted her Instagram account following her parents’ involvement in the infamous college cheating scandal. Honestly, we don’t blame her. The 20-year-old’s IG comment section has been flooded with negative comments by students who probably had to get into college on their own. The brunette beauty is the second member of her family to say goodbye to social media as Lori Loughlin deleted her own Instagram almost immediately after the allegations first came to light.

As for her sister, Olivia Jade’s IG count? Well, of course, it is still up and running. The 19-year-old’s IG and YouTube accounts are all that she really has going for her right now. Sorry, Olivia. The social media star, who has 1.3 million followers on IG, was dropped from her partnerships with Sephora and TRESemmé due to her parents’ alleged actions. The makeup guru has stayed quiet on social media in the wake of all of the drama, but In Touch has learned that she has been using her IG to communicate with friends. A source told Us Weekly that, “Olivia is posting private stories on her Instagram, using the only-close-friends option, to share her days on social media with her close circle.”

On Monday, April 15, the 54-year-old, and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, pleaded not guilty to mail fraud and money conspiracy charges. The couple was offered a plea deal but decided to turn it down, and instead were hit with new charges on April 9. In case you forgot, the scandal first came to light on March 12, when the Desperate Housewives alum and the fashion designer, 55, were arrested after they allegedly “agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000 in exchange for having their two daughters designated as recruits to the USC crew team — despite the fact that they did not participate in crew — thereby facilitating their admission to USC.”

Bella seems to be the one who is on better terms with her parents. On Friday, April 5, she was spotted embracing her mama with a heartwarming hug in Beverly Hills while waiting for the valet to bring them their car. Oliva, however, was nowhere in sight and we’re not exactly surprised. An insider confessed to Us Weekly that Olivia is “very upset” with her parents. “Olivia blames her mom and dad for this scandal and for the downfall of her career.”

The two beauty queens are still enrolled in the University of Southern California but only because the university has placed holds on the accounts of the students who are allegedly involved with the scam. On Monday, March 18, the university said in a statement that  the hold, “prevents the students from registering for classes (until they have agreed to participate in the review of their case), withdrawing from the university, or acquiring transcripts while their cases are under review.” Hey, it’s a good thing Olivia “doesn’t care” about school!
