Intruder Allegedly Tried to Start a Fire at Chris Brown’s House — and It’s the Second Incident This Month
Chris Brown’s LA home was breached by an intruder who scaled the fence and attempted to start a fire. The suspect was arrested for trespassing while Brown was not home.
Chris Brown‘s luxury estate is once again the scene of a scary situation. A terrifying encounter unfolded at the singer’s Los Angeles home on Wednesday evening when a stranger managed to get past security and onto the grounds. According to TMZ, a man was taken into police custody after he allegedly hopped over the perimeter fence and tried to ignite a fire on the property.
The Los Angeles Police Department was called to the residence in the ritzy Tarzana neighborhood just before 7:00 p.m. NBC 4 Los Angeles reports that security originally asked the individual to leave the area, but he returned a short time later and scaled the wall. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the man was spotted at the gate trying to get in and was described as an “ongoing problem” for the household before he was finally stopped and held by guards until officers arrived.
Fortunately, it appears the superstar was not in any immediate danger during the break-in. Authorities confirmed to NBC 4 that Brown was not at home when the intruder made his move. The suspect was arrested for trespassing, and the LAPD has reportedly handed the investigation over to local prosecutors to determine if more serious charges will be filed against the man.

This unsettling encounter is just the latest in a string of wild events at the mansion this month. Only weeks ago, a violent argument erupted right outside the singer’s front gate. A shooting was investigated on May 1 after a dispute between a security guard and a woman turned physical. The guard, identified as 35-year-old Markeith Cungious, was accused of firing a CO2-style handgun at the woman’s vehicle after she allegedly ran over his foot.
While the guard was hit with a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, Brown was quick to distance himself from that drama. TMZ reports that the “Under The Influencer” singer slammed the news as “total BS,” claiming he was home the whole time and didn’t hear a single thing. He insisted that he never heard a gunshot or saw a police car and told fans that people need to “stop attaching his name” to the street-side altercation.
The chaotic month comes during what should be a happy time for the Grammy winner. Brown recently became a father for the fourth time, welcoming a new addition with model Jada Wallace in late April. “Purest love,” Wallace wrote on Instagram when introducing their little one to the world. With a massive co-headlining tour with Usher set to kick off in June, fans are hoping the drama at his residence finally settles down so he can focus on his family and his music.
