Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino Sets His Sights On Future New Jersey Governor Run

Gym, tan, veto? Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, who rose to fame on the hit MTV reality show Jersey Shore in the 2010s, told News 12 New Jersey on Thursday that he hopes to run for governor of his home state someday.

The 43-year-old revealed his plans at a party for the spring issue of VUE magazine, which features the reality star and his wife, Lauren Sorrentino, on the cover.

”I’d like to save lives for the next three to five years with with Archangel Centers. I’d like to have an Archangel Center in every 50 states,” said Mike, referring to the rehab center he opened in Tinton Falls, New Jersey last year. “And after that, you know, I’ll introduce everybody to Governor Situation.”

When asked if he is a republican or democrat, he replied, “I can’t announce it yet but I think the residents of New Jersey would like no property tax.”

It’s an interesting policy coming from Mike, who famously served eight months in prison in 2019 for tax evasion. In recent years, he’s revamped his image. He’s been sober for over ten years, and on the recently-ended spinoff Jersey Shore Family Vacation, became known for his inspirational quotes. He had a few words of motivation for the News 12 cameras as well: “As husband and wife we like to be on the path of self improvement which it’s mentally, physically, spiritually, personally, or professionally,” said the father of three. “Any negativity we like to get rid of and that is a life long journey that we love to be on.”
