Honey Boo Boo Blames Sugar Bear’s New Wife Jennifer for Parents’ Strained Relationship (EXCLUSIVE)
Things are getting worse and worse between Mama June Shannon and her ex Sugar Bear — and her daughter Alana Thompson, aka Honey Boo Boo, blames his new wife Jennifer Lamb. The Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star revealed that her parents' relationship continues to be strained despite their split more than three years ago.
"My current relationship with Sugar Bear is very dull. He'll maybe call me once a week if I'm lucky, but my parents getting along right now is not good," she told In Touch exclusively. "They do not get along AT ALL. I feel like they don't co-parent well because of Jennifer." In the upcoming season of Mama June: From Not to Hot, viewers will get a look at their battle over custody of the 12-year-old beauty queen.

"I will take your a– to court," Sugar Bear (real name Mike Thompson) tells Mama June in the trailer for Season 2 before the mother-of-four responds, "Good luck." However, she revealed she is not surprised Sugar Bear and Jennifer teamed up against her. "Not really, because I think it's all pretty much for show," she told In Touch when asked if she was caught off guard by the threat.
Last year, Mama June accused her ex of physical and emotional abuse. "There was just so much emotional and physical abuse," she told Life & Style when asked if she would ever take him back. "I just choose not to put my kids through that." And it looks like Mama June keeping her word and moving on with a new mystery man — and her daughter could not be more excited for her size-4 mom.

"I feel very happy because I've never seen her smile this much, I swear — ever in her life," Honey Boo Boo explained. "She's always grinning. Always grinning.
