Work in progress. Former Kate Plus 8 star Jon Gosselin is no stranger to custody battles. The father of eight has been involved in a legal battle with his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin, for more than a decade. But on Friday, October 25, Jon exclusively revealed to In Touch that things may be looking up soon since their sextuplets are getting older.

“Custody’s really up to the kids. And now I don’t have a gag so I can talk about it,” Jon, 42, exclusively told In Touch at Victoria’s Voice presented by the Victoria Siegel Foundation and Greenspoon Marder LLP at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. “So if Hannah wants to go, she goes. If Leah, is on Kate’s side, supposedly, if she wants to come, she comes.”

Jon shares eight children with Kate — 18-year-old twin daughters Cara and Mady and 15-year-old sextuplets Leah, Aaden, Alexis, Joel, Hannah and Collin. He was very open about his estrangement from his children, often blaming Kate for not allowing him visitation with them. But in 2018, Jon scored two major custody wins: Jon was awarded custody of daughter Hannah in September 2018 and he won custody of son Collin in December 2018. Both Hannah and Collin live with Jon full time in the home he shares with his longtime girlfriend, Colleen Conrad.

But even though Jon is excited to have two of his children living with him, he still has not been able to have regular visitation with Hannah and Collin’s siblings Joel, Alexis, Aaden and Leah.

“I haven’t,” Jon said when asked if he’s been able to see his other four children. “It’s supposed to be up to them. If Hannah really wants to go, I just drop her off or Kate comes to pick her up or whatever. There’s no … I can’t control that. And that’s the way it should be.”

While Jon is still struggling to spend more time with his other four kids, he seems hopeful that it won’t be an issue for long since they’re getting older and closer to adulthood. “Once they drive …” Jon added. “‘Here’s your car, do whatever you want.'”
