Christopher Meloni sent Law & Order: SVU fans into a frenzy when he shared a reunion pic with his former costar (and forever friend) Mariska Hargitay.
The actor kept it simple in the caption, writing, “Friends at Xmas.”
She reposted the same picture with hilarious hashtags poking a little bit of fun at her costar.

The pair previously shared the small screen on SVU for 12 seasons — from the premiere of the show in 1999, until Meloni’s departure in 2011.
While they may have stopped solving crimes as the elite squad known as the Special Victims Unit, the two have remained offscreen partners even after all this time.

Mariska previously opened up about how she had an instant connection with her onscreen partner.
“From the first second,” she said on Inside the Actor’s Studio of their chemistry. “You can’t write it… It was just [in the sky].”
This is hardly the first time the two have reunited — most recently, they surprised fans on social media with a reunion back in March — but fans didn’t lose any enthusiasm when it comes to the love they have for these two and their characters.
“Wow a reunion would make us sooooo happy,” one follower wrote. Another added, “My heart is so happy.”
The real life pals are hardly the first stars to have a cast reunion in 2016 — in fact, some of our favorite movies and TV shows got back together with their casts for unforgettable reunions!
TV shows such as Friends saw the cast back together to honor one of their directors, while shows like Will & Grace reprised their show’s famous roles in order to do a PSA encouraging people to vote.
