Gwyneth Paltrow Reportedly ‘Furious’ At Chris Martin For His Negative Comments On Their Divorce

Remember when Gwyneth Paltrow announced that she and Chris Martin were consciously uncoupling aka divorcing and people were so confused as to what that meant?! Now, Chris is spilling the tea about their divorce in a new documentary, Coldplay: A Head Full Of Dreams.

Chris admitted that he felt “completely worthless” after their “painful” marriage ended. He confessed, “I was just like, ‘I’m a mess,’ really, because I can’t enjoy the great things around me. Then, of course, I went through a breakup with Gwyneth. Listen, I’m never going to moan, I’m grateful for everything, but it was pretty touch and go.”

The GOOP founder has certainly painted a picture that she and Chris are buddies and that they get along great. She even called him her “brother” in an Instagram post and they even vacationed as a family in December 2017. It all seems like it’s rainbows and butterflies for the former couple, but now sources are saying otherwise.

“Despite the fact that Gwyneth is building a new married life with Brad [Falchuk], she still likes to keep up this idea that she and Chris have an unshakeable bond. She was furious that he took their separation to such a dark place in the documentary as it goes against everything she’d said previously. She can’t help but feel this is further proof that Chris is no longer interested in playing by her rules,” a source told Grazia Daily.

The “Yellow” singer said that his divorce was a “challenging period” that he had to get through. Phil Harvey, his former manager, even revealed that he was nervous about Chris during that time. He said, “I was worried about him to the extent that I was just really glad to get a text in the morning just to know he was OK.”

Could it be that Gwyneth and Chris’s friendship is ultimately over? “Gwyneth is starting to think that their friendship, as it was, could be gone for good, and it frustrates her that Chris appears to be betraying their mission statement about their breakup,” an insider said. The source continued, “There’s no question that they’ll continue to come together for matters concerning their children, but it seems like Chris has really broken free from this unrealistic idea that they’ve managed to remain best friends. Gwyneth is having to learn to accept that.”

Sounds like they really are consciously uncoupling — for good this time.
