Buckingham Palace is planning to extend another offer of accommodation to Prince Harry after the last one was withdrawn.

The Duke of Sussex, 41, is set to return to the U.K. in September. After his last visit saw him scrambling around for accommodation, King Charles III is reportedly planning to make his next trip much easier, offering him a room at Buckingham Palace in London during his stay.

The reports, obtained by People, have come as a shock to a few considering the royal family’s last invitation was declined.

Just days before his visit, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, were refused police protection, causing travel plans to shift and security concerns to arise. Meghan and her children were then forced to arrive in the U.K. a few days late.

Not only were his wife and children affected, but Prince Harry himself also experienced added strain because the refusal forced him to find alternative accommodations away from his father.

On July 6, a spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex said in a statement obtained by People, “Following RAVEC’s decision not to provide security for his family, the Duke spent last week making alternative security arrangements. Once those arrangements were in place, he was able to formally accept the offer of accommodation for himself over the weekend.”

“It is therefore disappointing that the offer has now been withdrawn,” the statement revealed.

According to the BBC, Buckingham Palace confirmed there was an offer of accommodation for Prince Harry. However, his team had failed to confirm and then formally declined the invitation on Saturday. The Duke of Sussex’s team had reportedly changed their position later that day but it had already been too late to make arrangements.

Despite the drama that ensued, King Charles and Queen Camilla put the issues to the side to have an intimate meeting with the Sussexes during their visit.
